The Ostheimer blue riding knight with tournament horse is a complete set with a handmade blue knight, lance, shield and matching blue horse for imaginative knight and castle play. The knight is specially designed to ride the Ostheimer blue tournament horse and invites children from 3 years to create stories about knights, castles and exciting tournaments.

With his shield firmly in one hand and his lance in the other, the Ostheimer riding knight is ready to ride his horse to the castle or tournament field. Children decide for themselves what adventure unfolds: perhaps the knight is defending the castle, taking part in a tournament or travelling through an imaginary fairy-tale world. The simple design leaves plenty of room for open-ended play and a child’s own imagination.

The set combines beautifully with the Ostheimer knight’s castle, other knights, horses and figures from the fairy-tale and knight world. This allows the play world to grow over time and creates new stories again and again.

Both the blue knight and tournament horse are made from maple wood. The figures are completely handmade and painted with carefully selected, toy-safe paint. This allows the natural character of the wood to remain visible and makes every piece of Ostheimer wooden toys unique.
